Research Profile
The research subjects of the chair Electrical Drive Systems include the electrical machine, its control and the related power electronics, as well as the interaction of these elements in a whole system.
The research is oriented to the development of new concepts for electrical drive systems, the optimization of existing ones and the inclusion of new areas of applications. The focus is specially set to the simplification of the electric and mechanical structures by means of an the enhancement of the control and power electronics. Drive systems developed with these concepts will achieve lower production and operation effort.
Main Topics
Magnetic bearing systems
Complementary design of the electrical machine and its control
Optimal integration of the electrical drive into the application machine
